MaxxHorn introduces the Lumination Loudspeaker... especially for Feastrex Dimension 5 series drivers.
Our MaxxHorn loudspeakers should invite your passion for excellence in music reproduction, and inspire your visual and tactile passion for aesthetics and beauty as well. The MaxxHorn harmonizes with the beautifully decorated home, tastefully blending in until invited by the host to perform.
Listeners describe the performance as having a presentation reminiscent of an electrostatic loudspeaker, transparent and coherent, with improved dynamics, an ambient 3-dimensional presentation, with effortless detail retrieval, and outstanding midrange purity. Vocalists project from a whole person not merely from the head or mouth. Percussion instruments are quick, dynamic, tonally correct, well defined, and properly scaled within the recreated soundstage. Holographic-High Definition may best describe the results of fourteen years of MaxxHorn research, development, and voicing.
MaxxHorn utilizes BASSMAXX True Horn Technology, our unique high efficiency wide bandwidth tractrix horn design that results in full spectrum 'true bass' performance to below 45Hz. Our proprietary design may actually obsolete high efficiency loudspeaker designs, which call on bass reflex and/or other tuned Helmholtz resonance methods to mimic one or two deep bass notes, in a noble attempt to increase bandwidth in designs simply incapable of providing 'true' wide bandwidth performance.
Because of MaxxHorn's wide bandwidth achievements, MaxxHorn has no need to tune enclosure resonant noise to simulate deep bass. We are free to eliminate enclosure resonances and other colorations. Our advanced construction geometries increase the structural integrity and acoustic damping in our loudspeakers, thereby greatly reducing the noise floor. MaxxHorn loudspeakers then disappear, to reveal detailed music information that previously remained hidden. This is an important distinction between MaxxHorn and other high efficiency loudspeakers. The results of our efforts are immediately discernable.
Some manufacturers tout 'live' enclosures. MaxxHorn believes live enclosures are simply noisy enclosures. Natural instrument resonance and nuances are already present in an excellent recording. Designing in and/or manipulating cabinet coloration to mimic deep bass or 'real' musical instruments is redundant. MaxxHorn believes cabinet artifacts, pleasant sounding or otherwise, masks the retrieval of all-important micro-detail and micro-dynamic information already captured in a well-recorded performance.
Please allow us to build a pair of MaxxHorn loudspeakers especially for you.
